Your First Visit to Our Kelowna Practice

New practice members often remark how “homey” our office is. That’s good, because our goal is to offer state-of-the-art chiropractic care in a comfortable surrounding.
Make Yourself at Home
New practice members often comment on how relaxed the atmosphere is in our office and how it looks like we are having so much fun. So, there is no need to be stressed out about your first visit to our office. There is plenty of free parking out front at Glenvalley Plaza. Our office is on the second floor; as you exit the elevator our office is located to your left.
We Explain Everything First
Our chiropractic office assistant Lisa will greet you when you enter the office. Expect to allow 30-40 minutes in total for your first visit.
Hopefully you were able to download and complete the new practice member paperwork from our website but if not, that is OK. It takes about 10 minutes to complete.
After completing your paperwork, you will meet Dr. Jeff and go through a no-obligation consultation to make sure chirpractic care is the right thing for you at that time. If we agree that it is, we will proceed with completing a thorough history and extensive chiropractic examination. The exam includes a computerized thermography and surface EMG test (don't panic, nothing to be afraid of here), spinal range of motion tests, palpation of the spine and involved muscles, muscle testing. and other chiropractic tests specific to your case. The history and exam takes about 20 minutes.
What it All Means
Next, Dr. Jeff will do a brief interpretation of your exam findings and determine if we are able to start your care on the first visit or if some extra time is needed to review your exam findings before care can begin (either later that day or the next day). Special consideration is taken for those new practice members who are in extreme pain.
If Dr. Jeff decides to begin care on the first visit, he will review your exam findings and suggest a treatment plan to reach your health goals. He will then perform your first adjustment as he described in your review of findings. He may give you instructions on home care such as ice or specific exercises as well.
See You Again Soon
Lastly, you will then see Lisa at the front desk to schedule your second visit. If it is not appropriate to begin care at that time, Lisa will schedule your second visit so that we can get started as quickly as possible.
